This is a Nepalese rope incense made of Dhupee (Juniper) which is extensively found in the high Himalayan region of Nepal. This is abundantly used in stupas or temples for aromatic ambiance. This rope incense is known as Dhup in Nepali and it is mostly used by the Newar communities of Nepal.
Rope incense is uniquely prepared by filling the natural herbs into an eco-friendly lokta paper and twisting it to make a rope. Each rope incense is hand rolled carefully. In the Himalayas, the rope incense making process is used from generation to generation.
